Information on data processing

We would like to inform you about how your personal data is processed by Engagement Global and to inform you of the rights that you have under data protection law.

Which data do we process?

We only process the personal data that are required to perform our duties.

Why is your data processed and on what legal basis?

We process your personal data in compliance with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). The data processing is done in order to fulfil our tasks. Personal data may only be collected and processed by us according to Article 6 GDPR if your consent is given, if the collection and processing is necessary to fulfil the contract or precontractual measures, if there is a legal obligation to do so or if it is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and your interests, fundamental rights and fundamental freedoms do not prevail. Should you have given us your consent, you can revoke it at any time without stating your reasons for doing so by sending an e-mail to the following e-mail address: datenschutz@engagement-global.de. This will not affect the legality of the processing carried out until revocation.

Who receives your data?

Within Engagement Global, only the individuals and entities that need your personal data to fulfil the above-mentioned purposes will receive them. In order to fulfil our tasks with regard to external service providers and for audit purposes, your data may be transferred to the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, the Federal Audit Office and the Budget Committee of the German Bundestag.

For how long will your data be stored?

We will delete your personal data as soon as it they are no longer needed for the above-mentioned purposes and if the deletion does not conflict with any statutory retention requirements. The statutory storage obligation is usually 10 years.

Which data protection rights can you assert as a data subject?

As a data subject, you have the right to be notified and the right to have your data corrected and deleted and to have the processing of your data restricted; you also have the right to data portability. Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing of data for the purpose of direct marketing at any time without giving reasons for doing so or if your legitimate interest due to a personal situation outweighs the interest of processing. Should you have questions about your data protection rights or wish to file a complaint, you are welcome to contact our Data Protection Officer. His contact details can be found above. You can, of course, also contact the data protection supervisory authorities.
